In Marilina Marchica's work, architecture takes on a symbolic value in relation to collapses and demolitions and imposes itself as a metaphor for an existential dimension as an expression of the relationship between man, nature and time. To inhabit means to give form to spaces to the extent that we too take form from those spaces.
Her investigation focuses on the value of the fragment and manifests itself in cycles of works in which the dialectic between form and matter is entrusted to waste and residual building materials, tears and stratifications and, starting from these traces, rereads through the drawing finds of a place now changed the remains of an ephemeral geography.

Marilina Marchica
Marilina Marchica (Agrigento, 1984) lives and works in Agrigento. She trained at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia and the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, where she graduated in Painting. He has participated in several exhibitions on national and international territory. In addition to the solo shows at the FAM Gallery in Agrigento, the A Sud Arte Contemporanea gallery in Realmonte, Spazio Hus Milano and the site-specific exhibition for the crypt of the Church of Santa Maria del Piliere in Palermo, we remember his participation in the FAM Prize of the Chiaramontane Factories of Agrigento and at the artist's residence in Villa Aurea - Valle dei Templi, curated by the Superintendency of Cultural Heritage of Agrigento. His works have been published in art magazines and volumes including "The New Collectors Book", edited by Basak Malone (New York, 2015). Her painting tells of the relationship between man, nature and time, the landscape, the sign and the trace, through the stripping, reduction and subtraction of figurative elements.
"my landscapes are" boxes "of memories,
day after day they welcome events and individuals who leave their marks and change their boundaries and appearance "
The aesthetics of the "Sign" in Marilina Marchica's pictorial production starts from a research on architecture
the wall as a diaphragm between inside and outside
this takes on a strong symbolic value for the artist, crystallizes collapses and demolitions, freeing them from oblivion and placing them in a universal dimension that alludes to life and its seasons.
This cyclical and dynamic trend, on the other hand, tends to expand in the "Landscapes" to take on an expanded dimension that aligns itself on the geographical horizons, evoked by a vision of reality bordering on abstraction.

- Untitled 0042, Original painting, Atmospheric Art, Industrial North, RomanticismLocated in Deddington, GBInspiration for my work comes from internalised imagery absorbed throughout her childhood in Northumberland and the North East of England. Images of declining industry, the closing of coal mines, abandoned shipyards and other associated heavy industries loomed large across the landscape. The atmosphere of loss, sadness was as palpable as the smell of smoke, tar and coke from the power stations. Philippas work consists of remembered imagery of past landscapes combined with the pastoral landscape in which she lives. The muted palette references the industrial while suggested imagery reflects the rural. Work produced references both worlds combining two genres, marrying post contemporary modernism with elements of classical romanticism. Two genres, two generations of artistic movements intersect with each other, creating a place where contradictions co exist. Disjunctive kinds of everything, hidden in plain sight, create a realm in which one can lose oneself. Implied abstract imagery reveals conflict between beauty and desolation ,whilst Romanticism and Modernism combine with clashing qualities of drawing and painting. Images develop through a series of intuitive acts. Repeated applications of thin films of ink and paint build depth and patina. Layers are often removed by washing and scrubbing, revealing a palimpsest of faded marks and former painterly decisions, exposing the underbelly, vulnerable and tender. Through Philippas current and ongoing line of enquiry several connections are being explored which are both real and notional. The fusing of genres, the industrial and the pastoral which combine elements of classical romanticism and post contemporary modernism, these relate to her past and her present surroundings. Rarely associated elements of drawing and painting are combined on canvas adding to the narrative of her personal story. Work produced displays...Category

- Green Darkness NatureBy Juan Jose GarayLocated in LAS ROZAS DE MADRID, ESDue to the size of the work, it was sent rolled in a tube Enamel and Acrylic on Canvas The painting I will describe is an impressive and enigmatic work that conveys an inexhaustible energy and a deep sense of creativity. The dark brown background of the painting provides an apparently calm and serene atmosphere, but the viewer quickly realizes that this work is much more than that. The work itself is an impressive example of the artistic style known as "action painting". This style is characterized by the spontaneous and energetic application of paint, with the artist using a variety of techniques and materials to create a work that seems to be driven by movement and force. In this case, the artist has used a drip and splash approach to create a chaotic and vibrant texture in the background. In the center of the painting is a female figure, represented in a series of white lines and shapes that strongly contrast with the dark background. The figure has an abstract appearance, but clearly represents a woman, with her curved and stylized lines suggesting the shape of her...Category
