About the Item
This painting was created using a combination of acrylic paint, spray paint, and collaged materials on raw canvas. Its title, "Stack and Play," pays homage to the artist's source of inspiration: constructing small sculptures with his son using found wood pieces with unique shapes. The vibrant brushwork, reflecting spontaneity and energy, mirrors the dynamic process through which his son approaches art.
Amidst the large geometric shapes, spray-painted marks initially framed the composition. A subtle yet significant detail in the top left corner involves attaching and subsequently removing old painted canvas scraps, leaving a distinctive painted stamp. The raw canvas's beige/off-white tones, juxtaposed with various shades of black, infuse a modern yet earthy essence into any space.
Bold strokes of black paint, applied with a broad brush, reveal glimpses of the canvas underneath, resulting in a natural, slightly unfinished aesthetic.
This painting will be professionally packed and shipped, arriving stretched and ready to hang on heavy-duty wooden stretcher bars measuring 1.5" to 1.75" in depth. For precise measurements or any inquiries, please don't hesitate to reach out. The painting is signed on the back.

Matt Higgins is an artist and art professor who lives and works in Philadelphia, Pa. He received his MFA from The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and BFA from West Chester University. His work is included in numerous private and public collections throughout the United States, Europe and Australia. His various bodies of work focus on themes of abstraction, the landscape and text based paintings. His work can be viewed as a constant progression, as well as a cycle from one body of work to the next. He often times returns to existing themes or motifs with a fresh outlook after departing for periods of time. Growth and learning is a significant part of the artists practice and this continued openness and exploration is what keeps his work fresh and original from one body of work to the next, never settling for predictability or the mundane.

- Ethereal - Large Blue Purple Ethereal Textured Abstract Painting on CanvasLocated in Los Angeles, CAClara Berta’s acrylic and mixed-media paintings blend texture and color to create harmony, mystery, and depth on the painted surface. Her paintings transform spaces into Zen environments where one can quiet a cluttered mind and enjoy beauty every day. Clara Berta’s paintings explore themes such as the ebb and flow of memory, the significance of personal heritage, the passing of physical time, desire, grief, and love. This minimalist ocean-inspired artwork is 60 inches high by 48 inches wide. The sides of this original artwork are a continuation of the front. It is stretched, wired, and ready to hang. It is signed and titled by the artist on the back. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Clara Berta explores the collision between the old and new; destruction and rebuilding lives. She began painting as an outlet of grief; creating something beautiful as the result of loss. Through her creative practice, she has found healing, and further offers to her community safe spaces for troubled teens and women to heal through the meditative process of painting. Her artworks are a language, a push forward in new directions and achievements, while always inspired by history. Berta mixes minimalism with underlying texture and embraces modernism while compiling the odds and ends of her attempts to let her art speak for itself. Her abstract works often include reminders of her travels expressed in unexpected sequences of patterns as well as distortion of perspectives and subconscious spaces. Manipulating the texture with several layers of texture paste and acrylic paint, she will work and re-work her canvases, layering textures to give added dimension, and creating works that intrigue and invite the viewer to explore not only the surface but also the inner language of the painting. A passionate, award-winning artist of Hungarian heritage, Clara Berta's dynamic and highly textural abstract...Category
