Renowned sporting artist, Sandra Oppegard's charming vignette of a hunter and his Brittany Spaniel's active day in the field captures the essence of the sport of bird hunting. In this captivating hunting vignette, a majestic Brittany Spaniel dog gracefully points towards a bird, The hunter, depicted in various positions, eagerly awaits the perfect moment to take aim and bring the fowl home for dinner. Oppegard's distinctive contemporary style of unique sporting dog vignettes are cherished by sportsmen nationwide. Sandra Oppegard graduated from the Pasadena Art Center of Design where she majored in illustration. She worked as a freelance illustrator for twenty-three years. Now making her home in Kentucky, Sandra is a full member of the AAEA and a member of the Kentucky Watercolor Society. She exhibited at the Women Artists of the West 2nd International Exhibition of Western Art; and won first place in Watercolor in 1990 and 1991 at the Washington Thoroughbred Breeders Equine Art Show and Sale at Longacres Racetrack in Renton, Washington. She participated in the First Annual Equifestival Art Show in Lexington, Kentucky, and won the Ruth Robbins Memorial Award for Watercolor. Her work has appeared on the covers of The Anvil, Keeneland Magazine, and in the Polo Magazine art issue of November 1991. The watercolor on paper is attractively matted and framed. The finished size is 21" x 24"
