Original oil on canvas. Dimensions 18" x 26 1/8". The distressed frame measures 24 1/2" x 32 1/2".
The painting is in good vintage condition.
Stephen Etnier was a landscape painter in California and Maine. He also maintained a studio in New York City.
The view out his "Studio Window" shows children playing in the yard.
A painter of landscapes, marine, portrait and genre, Stephen Etnier was born in York, Pennsylvania, and maintained studios in New York City and in south Harpswell and Popham Beach, Maine. He studied at the Yale Art School, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and privately with Rockwell Kent and John Carroll.
