About the Item

"Crossing (Traversée)" captures the essence of exploration and journey. This acrylic painting, measuring 60 x 73 cm, serves as a synthesis of various sketches and paintings from Linda Clerget's travel sketchbook, both abroad and within her region. In vibrant strokes of color and dynamic brushwork, the piece invites viewers on a visual voyage through landscapes both familiar and distant. The canvas pulsates with energy, echoing the sense of discovery and adventure inherent in traversing new territories. With each brushstroke, Linda Clerget sought to convey the spirit of exploration and the allure of the unknown. The layers of paint reveal the depth of her experiences, weaving together moments of contemplation, excitement, and wonder. "Crossing (Traversée)" is not merely a depiction of physical travel but also an exploration of inner landscapes, inviting viewers to embark on a journey of self-discovery and reflection. Through this painting, Linda aims to evoke a sense of wanderlust and curiosity, inspiring others to embrace the beauty of exploration in all its forms. Mini Biography: Linda Clerget, born in 1985 in Paris, has always been passionate about art and nature. Coming from a family of artists, she inherited a rich creative legacy but has always followed her unique rhythm. After attending an art school in Paris, Linda furthered her professional development through courses taught by American painters of the impressionist movement, including Ben Fenske, who deeply influenced her work. Her art celebrates childhood at all ages, tireless curiosity, and the ability to marvel at the everyday. It promotes the preservation of one's inner child, the perpetual quest for discovery, and openness to the world. Linda's artistic style, described as neo-impressionist, modernizes the impressionist style using vibrant colors and energetic, gestural movement. It captures energy and joy, inviting viewers to reconnect with the essence of life. Linda Clerget is a professional artist, based in her home studio in Thomery, a peaceful village nestled near the mystical Fontainebleau forest.
