The human element in nature is a connecting thread in Jeffrey Long’s broad swathe of paintings done over the past five decades. His paintings, expressed in various visual languages, abstract, representational, figurative, narrative, and metaphorical, are meant to bring order to direct experience. Jeffrey Long’s paintings balance elements of Modernist design with traditions from tribal and Asian art. The “Mosaic” and “Moderne” paintings present boundless associations of color and shape in syncopation. The “Numbers” series brings together mid-Twentieth Century biomorphic design and collage. The warp and weft of weaving are referenced in the “Rip Rap”, “Orchard” and “Kaokoland” paintings. The “Shelters” series introduces representational aspects. Scott Yeskel was raised in the suburbs of Orange County, California after his parents moved from New Jersey when he was a child. The mild weather and suburban sprawl fueled Scott’s interest in the landscape. 

After graduating from high school, he moved to San Francisco to pursue an education in the arts. Yeskel graduated from the Academy of Art College in 2002 where he won first place in the Landscape category at the Academy’s Annual Spring Show. He was quickly picked up by galleries in Philadelphia, Laguna Beach and San Francisco. Since that time, Scott has been the subject of over a dozen solo shows, countless group exhibitions and has been featured in over 20 magazine and newspaper editorials. 

His work speaks to those who identify with the California lifestyle – often romantic but sometimes plagued with frustration. His love/hate relationship with Los Angeles’ freeways, boxy apartments and urban sprawl feed Yeskel’s desire to paint his environment as he sees – a jumble of mixed emotions. Recently, Scott’s work was purchased by prestigious corporate collections including Microsoft and NBC/ Universal. Scott currently teaches an Abstract Workshop at the Kline Academy in West LA and resides with his wife and daughter in Los Angeles. Rick Howell's "Untitled 2" is an original, handmade oil painting that depicts a snow lined stream reflecting the blue and rust colored shimmer of cold water melt flowing into the distance. About the Artist: Rick Howell's landscape paintings deftly fuse the influences of the Old Masters, the American Romantic Landscape movement, and the tonal colors, loose brushwork, and softness of form displayed in the Barbizon school. Howell’s art is notable for its poetic and atmospheric interpretation of the land, as derived from his direct on-site observations and impressions. A master of light, color, and shadow, Howell creates highly ordered scenes which consciously juxtapose hazy or blurred elements with sharp and refined details. A master of the tonalist landscape, Howell often utilizes the overall tone of colored atmosphere or mist to elicit an emotional response. Christopher Clark's (US based) "The Next Stage of Your Journey" is an original, handmade oil painting that depicts a split rail fence among a meadow of tall grasses leading to am autumn colored forest in the background. Bio/artist statement: Christopher has been an artist since early childhood, when he would watch Bob Ross on PBS and mimic the famed oil painter’s art with crayons. He considers himself a self-educated artist, with his studies ranging from personal training with contemporary masters, to classical academic art technique, with much inspiration from 19th Century art and the Impressionist Movement. Christopher lived in Italy for a time, immersing himself in Italian culture and art, which continues to influence his painting. His fan base has grown considerably since his return to the US, gaining the attention of Lucasfilm and Marvel Fine Art, which both signed him as an officially licensed artist in 2016. Other clients include George Lucas, Major League Baseball, Louisville Slugger, and Fender Guitars. Christopher’s painting skills are not his only talent in the arts. He has won several national swing dance championship competitions, and also studies tango and blues dancing. He has played guitar since the age of 12, and during his time as lead guitarist for a rock band, he opened for Blue Oyster Cult and Eddie Money, as well as headlined “the Whisky A Go Go” and “The Roxy” in Hollywood. Christopher has played trombone since high school, and for the last 20 years has played with all-trombone Christmas band in Orange County, California called the Balboa Bachelors, with whom he has played for the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade...
