110 x 65 inches (280 x 165 cm)
A collection of the eyes of refugee women and children printed on clothing discarded by refugees on Lesvos. These fabrics were collected, washed, and donated by Dirty Girls of Lesvos. Created from 77 photographs of eyes, which is representative of numerology associated with Jesus Christ and the most widely recognized number of branches in Islam, are the final component to this project. They represent the estimated 6,000 lives lost in the Aegean Sea.
