About the Item
Pablo Boneu crosses the mediums of photography, sculpture and hand-crafted textile work with thread as the material. Woven threads fall outside the frame and allow the image to come alive in a full sensory experience, where a deep observation of the image is required in order to reveal what the background conceals. Boneu juxtaposes the idea of production with a serial repetition of the same object.
His work has been showcased worldwide and is part of several private and institutional collections including the Perez Museum in Miami, The Pérez Simón Collection and the Clavijero Museum in Mexico, and Caraffa Museum in Argentina. Boneu currently lives and works in Mexico.

- Encaustic Print -- AscendBy Mariana DepetrisLocated in Troy, NYThis mixed media artwork combines wood print, serigraph, inkjet, letterpress and encaustic on paper. This compelling piece shows a young girl dressed in blue pulling a terra-cotta colored sphere larger than she is. Despite its simplicity, this work alludes to the complexity of growing up as a female. Text is scattered throughout the piece; it is sold unframed. Mariana Depetris is an artist who focuses on printmaking techniques, many of which she learned from master printmakers in her native Argentina and Italy, as well as from an MFA from the Georgia Southern...Category

The character of Magdalena Peszkowska's works Series Stand is like an poetic archive of memories, which call for a classification and reconstruction of the time of childhood and the intense experience of time with everything around it. Gdansk - where the artist comes from - becomes a mythical place, This city, with a very strong symbolic potential inherent in its history, needs editing from a single point of view. Magdalena Peszkowska uses her own photos or those from the family album. She transfers them to gray field blankets and camp beds with her own secret technology Then she paints on the used objects. Many of her objects show figures from the closest circle of Peszkowska, often it is herself, her family or places close to her in Gdansk. Her objects have intentional signs of use.
