Keith Ladzinski
Wolf In The Sangre's

2017

About the Item

A limited Edition Print by National Geographic Photographer Keith Ladzinski from his “Crown’s of the Earth” collection. This series focuses on the planets most spectacular mountain ranges, risen by tectonic activity and carved by wind, water and time. Each January, the full moon rise is informally referred to as The Wolf Moon, a fitting tribute to one of the most iconic canines on earth. While working on an assignment in Colorado’s San Luis Valley I serendipitously timed the Wolf Moon as it was rising over the snow capped Sangre De Cristo mountains. This unique place is one of the largest mountain valleys on earth and notoriously cold and volatile during the winter season. Watching the moon rise over the peaks sent a warm surge of creative excitement inside me as I endured the -10° temperatures, a small price to pay for this unforgettable memory. Edition of 25
