Original vintage travel poster issued by British Railways for Thornton Cleveleys on the Lancashire Coast featuring a colourful view of the seaside promenade with people walking around the formal gardens and enjoying a sunny day by the large sandy beach leading around the coast to green hills on the horizon with sailing boats at sea and flowers in the foreground, the bold stylised title lettering and British Railways logo below and information text - Illustrated guide from Enquiry Bureau Cleveleys near Blackpool Go by train Services and Fares from stations offices or agents. The historic towns of Thornton and Cleveleys are located in the Blackpool area in north west England; in 1865 the railway station opened in Thornton to serve both towns on the Poulton-le-Fylde and Fleetwood branch line until it was closed in 1970. Published by British Railways (London Midland Region). Printed in Great Britain by R.B. Macmillan Ltd Derby. Good condition, creasing, tears, staining.
