Large Black Straw Cartwheel Picture Hat with Dotted Chenille Veil – M, 1950s
About the Item
Appropriate for a multitude of occasions from mourning to tea to church to cocktails, this magnificent cartwheel hat gushes both propriety and drama thanks to its foot-long chenille dot veil. An integrated interior cap keeps it securely perched on the head without hat pins despite its impressive size and shallow crown.
Straw picture hat with downturned brim slightly longer in front than in back; shallow crown with trailing grosgrain ribbon and integrated interior straw skullcap. 1’ chenille dot veil around 2/3 circumference; grosgrain interior sweatband. Unlined.
