Black Chandelier Bead Illusion Party Dress with Swirling Trumpet Skirt– M, 1950s

About the Item

Made for a party, this glamorous dance dress combines the late 50s and early 60s so perfectly that we would bet it was worn on New Year’s Eve at the cusp of the new decade. Not quite sleeveless, it incorporates the 50s’ penchant for barely-covered shoulders and ornate handwork with the shorter hemlines and lettuce edges favored in the 60s. Thanks to its dangling, multi-faceted beads and sequins it sparkles like a diamond no matter the time of year. Cap sleeve dance dress with heavily-beaded illusion bodice including dangling faceted beads around neckline, at bust and at center waist; gathered waist falls to a floating lettuce edge skirt of sheer silk chiffon. Weighted rear metal zipper closure with hook and loop at upper- and mid-back.
