Black and Silver *Larger Size* Ombré New Look Strapless Party Dress – L, 1950s
About the Item
An unusual and discretely colorful party dress despite its dark hue, the dress features a silver ombré satin underskirt, which mellows to a pale lavender near the hemline. Even better, the underskirt features horizontal ribbon lace around the bottom 1/3 for a decidedly French "can-can" effect.
Strapless party dress with tulle-ruffled sweetheart bustline. Bodice features silver satin underlayer covered in bib-pleated nylon chiffon to just under bust, then covered in black lace to waist; princess seams front and back and four flexible stays around interior circumference. Full, gathered skirt features silver satin underskirt with lace tape trim at knee, and free-hanging sheer chiffon overskirt inset with lace from hip to hem. Side metal zipper closure with top hook and eye and three additional hooks and eyes at waist. Hanging straps; unlined.
