About the Item
A scrumptious swirl print tops this Leonard Paris maxi dress that would be at home in a Seventies collector’s wardrobe—or the wardrobe of any woman who adores tapping into the decade’s glamour now and then. Created from tonal purples, tonal beiges, white and red, the graphic design are rendered on a soft silk jersey. The fabric’s gorgeous drape is taken advantage of to form a cowl neckline and elegantly gathered long sleeves. It also lends fluidity to the solid orange skirt that has gentle pleats at the front for a figure-flattering fit and graceful ease of movement. A complementary print bordered by white and lilac stripes visually pulls together the top with the skirt at the waistline and wide button cuffs. Featured in a different color way in the September 1973 issue of U.S. Vogue, this gown will continue to make a statement for years to come.
This vintage Leonard Paris maxi from 1973 is in excellent condition. It is made from silk jersey. Its top is printed with a swirl design in tonal purples, tonal beiges, white and red. Its bottom is in solid orange. A complementary print bordered by white and lilac stripes forms a band at the waistline and wide button cuffs. The gown is finished with a cowl neckline, gathered sleeves, waistline pleats and a back zip. High-quality vintage pieces like this are yours to live in and love while increasing in value every year.
