Rookwood antique arts and crafts pin tray

About the Item

A fantastic rare antique arts and crafts pottery pin tray or vanity tray from Rookwood made in 1929 or 1930. The design is very elegant and of its time, yet still very timeless elegant and sophisticated, in an ivory matt white. It is mold number is #2595. The petite pin dish is shaped in an organic oval reminiscent of a shell and features a sculptured reclining nude woman along the edge of the piece. This object is marked to the underside with the Rookwood mark and a stamped mark which imitates the company’s original 1883 kiln mark as an homage to the anniversary. This trinket dish was a part of their 50 years commemorate one of a small number of pieces made, shown with the number 50 inside the kiln, making this a very unique object. It is in a very good condition. It is 11cm (4.33") wide, 7cm (2.75") deep and 5cm (1.96") high, the price includes free shipping.
