Louis Albert Carvin, born in Paris on August 7, 1875 and died in the same city on January 6, 1951, is a French sculptor.
Born to a father who was a painter and draftsman at the War Ministry, Louis Albert Carvin was admitted to the Paris School of Fine Arts where he was a student of Emmanuel Frémiet and Georges Gardet. A member of the Society of French Artists, he exhibited at this society's Salon from the end of the 19th century to 1933. He obtained an honorable mention in 18943.
Carvin created The Muse of Aviation, a bronze trophy offered on May 1, 1909, by Léon Bollée, president of the Sarthe Aeroclub, to the brothers Orville and Wilbur Wright. He executed their bust on the occasion of the Michelin Cup, in Pau, in 1908.
His work Le Spleen (1934), representing a borzoi, is erected in the park of the White House in Clamart.
Specializing in animal sculpture, he takes as models deer, does, lions, lionesses, panthers, birds, wolf dogs, sometimes horses, like the L'Accolade group representing a couple of thoroughbreds, published by the J.B. foundry in Paris.

- Pair of Greenhouse Bookends Art Deco Wrought Iron stamped ZadounaïskyBy Michel ZadounaïskyLocated in NANTES, FRPair of greenhouses wrought iron bookends stamped Zadounaisky. In very good shape. Measures: Height: 12.4 cm Length: 16 cm Width: 4 cm Weight: 3,250 kg Son of Russian emigrants, Michel Zadounaisky moved to France in 1916. In 1920, he discovered wrought iron work by joining the Fournet chandelier factory. He also devotes himself to embossing in the round, that is to say the confrontation with metal with the sole tool of a hammer, and with the help of fire, techniques in which he is a past master. In 1924, he opened his first studio in Lyon and worked there until 1953, when he became one of the emblematic figures of Lyon's decorative arts. From the 1930s, his theme was personalized, and appeared a whole bestiary of animals sometimes bordering on the fantastic and the strange. Naturalized in 1948, Michel Zadounaisky continues to create, in close and intimate collaboration with Buer (binder) and Dumaine (glassmaker), objects intended for a wealthy and enlightened clientele. Eager to abolish the boundary between the liberal arts and the useful arts, he is a craftsman, an artist, and perhaps the only Art Deco iron sculptor...Category
