About the Item
Decorate an office or a study with this elegant antique globe. Crafted in Indianapolis, Indiana circa 1946, the collectible piece sits on a bronze painted cast iron tripod base decorated with paw feet; it features a brass half meridian. The stem holds a 12" swivel globe which is signed Cram Universal, made by George Cram and Co., Indianapolis, Indiana. Displaying the world as it was around the end of WW2, this globe does not show Israel, which tells you it was made before 1948. The terrestrial globe is in very good condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns wonderful patinated colors. Some small paper lost spots.
