Important Early Prototype French Helicopter Chairs Attributed to Louis Breguet

About the Item

Pair of rare prototypes from the early history of the helicopter: Two French helicopter chairs including pilot and co-pilot's seats attributed to Louis Breguet similar to those of the original (and destroyed) Gyroplane Laboratoire. These incredible Industrial Design specimens originate from the early days of experiments in helicopter design and flight and are suitable not only in a modern design museum but also as club or lounge chairs in any interior. Louis Breguet was an aviation Pioneer, aircraft manufacturer whose aircraft set several aviation records and was instrumental in the early development of the helicopter as a viable transport vehicle. Breguet's Gyroplane Laboratoire set existing helicopter records in 1935 for altitude and duration of flight. Unfortunately, the Craft was destroyed by Allied bombing in 1943.
