1970s Arkana Safari Sling Teak Lounge Chair by Maurice Burke in Black Leather
About the Item
Classic and iconic Chelsea Safari Chair designed by Maurice Burke for Arkana Furniture in Scotland. The original black leather contrasts perfectly with the reddish teak patina frame. Black metal tube spanners create a solid stance and add to the overall architectural design. Large brass screw caps add just a touch of flare and detail to an otherwise disciplined and stately chair.
RESTORATION:
The frame was completely disassembled for a full detailing. The arms had a few nicks that were addressed and improved with our leather repair kit. The leather sling was cleaned / conditioned and has no rips or scratches. The frame was reassembled and tightened.
Please note, for standard parcel shipping, this chair will be unbolted and broken down.
