About the Item
An Italian Sedia Alta chair designed by Mario Ceroli for Poltronova in 1972. This sculptural chair was carved from beautifully grained fir wood and features a dramatically high curved seat back and an angular cube base with demilune cutout details. Imprinted ‘Ceroli Poltronova’ on the lower left base of the chair. Two Available; Priced Individually.

DIMENSIONS: 23.25"W x 19.5"D x 75.25"H; 17.75"Seat Height
CONDITION: Good vintage condition. Minor wear to the wood frames includes marks, scuffs and areas of discoloration. Small chips to the wood are concentrated along the edge of the chair bases. One two inch scratch to the back of one of the chairs.

Mario Ceroli
Mario Ceroli is an Italian sculptor born in Castel Frentano, Italy in 1938. His work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Mississippi Museum of Art in Jackson, Mississippi. One of his sculptures is on the Luigi Einaudi campus of the University of Turin and another one is at the Vatican Museums.
