19th Century English Victorian Mahogany Kneehole Desk by Francis & James Smith
About the Item
For sale is a good quality, unusual, Victorian mahogany kneehole desk by Francis and James Smith, Glasgow. The top, having three leather writing surfaces, each decorated with gold and blind tooling. Below this, there are two arched panels, each brass a handle to centre allowing the ends of the desk to revolve to reveal a fully fitted interior. The desk is in very good condition for its age.
