A 1920’s White Macassar Fan Inlaid Art Deco Wardrobe
About the Item
We are pleased to offer this fabulous 1920s Art Deco Wardrobe recently refurbished in our workshops. This absolutely stunning example features an amazing herringbone fan inlay made entirely from stunning white Macassar veneers. This dominates the upper section and really makes a statement. Each fan terminates in a small circular inlay of real mother of pearl against a dark American walnut background. Below this is a band of honey coloured burr walnut which leads to the bottom section in alternating walnut herringbone veneers. The whole is surmounted on an ebonised stepped plynth which really elevates this grand piece. The interior comprises of 2 original brass rails and hooks offering plenty of hanging space for short and long garments. The original brass lock is fully working with original key and original green phenolic door handle.
Presented in showroom condition this is a breath taking and rare wardrobe.
