George III Serpentine Console Table

About the Item

George III serpentine console table, the remarkably wide one board top with beautiful grain and color has a bold yet graceful serpentine shape, sides of the top are shaped as well; the flat edge of the top is cross banded in mahogany, this above a concave molding. The frieze is veneered vertically with crotch mahogany and has a small molding below. The straight legs have a molded shape on the front and sides and are chamfered on the inner edge.
