A Rare Late 17th Century Yew Wood Side Table.

About the Item

A rare late 17th century (circa 1690) yew wood side table having exceptional colour and surface. The two piece top above a moulded drawer, having four well turned legs united by peripheral stretchers A rare example in fine original condition. Yew is a beautiful timber which acquires the most wonderful patina after 300 plus years of use. It's also rare to find a side table in Yew from this period, most were made in oak. As an estimate for every 150 made in oak only one will have been made in Yew.
