“Sea Urchin" Handmade Candle holder in Tumbaga by Romoherrera

About the Item

Designed by Cristina Romo, inspired by the wonderfull shapes of marine life, this sea urchin candle holder is made out of Tumbaga, an alloy of copper and zinc, each spike is hand hammered, cut and riveted in the ROMOHERRERA workshops in Taxco, Mexico. This piece brings joy and wonder to your table catching the light of the candle on the golden metal surface. Using ancestral techniques pased on by generations Cristina Romo reinterprets the traditional art of silversmithing and brings a creative and modern twist to metalwork.
