Masterfully painted, this artwork depicts a full scale portrait of “Mermaids, Neptune and Sea Water Nymphs”. An extremely desirable subject.
This definitely belongs in a private museum / collection as its one of the most beautiful paintings in the Genre of Orientalist Art.

Emanuel Oberhauser was born in Vienna in 1854. The Austrian painter remained active there his entire life. He was specialized in genre paintings, especially scenes from ancient Rome and the Orient.
