Hurricane Point, Big Sur - Oil on Canvas
Seascape oil painting depicting Hurricane Point, Big Sur, California by Kathleen Murray (American, b. 1958). Clear blue waters can be seen along the rocky Californian coast, with greenery surrounding the upper hillside. Deeper blue waters with hints of green are shown below the rocks, as small waves crash along the shore. A pink and purple horizon is seen along the waterline, with white waters from the near off rocks below. Kathleen currently exhibits in Carmel by the Sea art galleries.
Signed "Murray" lower left.
Presented in a giltwood frame.

Kathleen Murray (American, b. 1958) was born in Los Angeles, California. In the early 1970s, Murray spent three years in Europe studying art and languages at the American School in Switzerland (TASIS) and a year in Italy at St. Michael's School outside Florence. She resides in the Monterey Bay where she is well known for her deeply saturated and textured oil seascapes and landscapes of Carmel, Big Sur, and surrounding Coastal areas.
