About the Item

Oil on panel. My paintings are an exploration of the phenomena of light. The light that exists within the environment and the light that falls over the objects. I am continually amazed with the value and the intensity of color in its relationship to space. How colors look when they are close to you or far away. To slowly build the illusion of an object in space, using one piece of information at a time, can become a dance that feels like it’s the most important thing on earth. The placement of the objects in the painting is incredibly important. The balance achieved within the illusion of space is my interaction with feng shui in two dimensions. The objective is to create paintings that are satisfying visually and resonate with you mentally.
