German artist Klaus Kampert focuses primarily on the body and movement.
This series was produced for the Deutshe Oper Am Rhein, Dusseldorf and Duisbourg's common opera. The photographs are of the ballet corps from this opera. Klaus Kampert highlights the perfection of the bodies and the movement accentuating the contrasts by sometimes staging the models and also playing on chiaroscuro.
Prints are available in two different dimensions:
* 100 cm × 91 cm : edition of 10 copies
* 45 cm × 41 cm : edition of 15 copies

Klaus Kampert
The photographic work of Klaus Kampert is an uninterrupted dialogue between light and the naked bodies of his models, perceived as an infinite repertoire of forms and expressions. In a setting often reduced to the essential, the artist does not cease to explore the images and emotions that might emerge from this dialogue. With his perfect mastery of the light and the collaboration of classical dancers capable of expressing the full range of emotions through their movements, over the years Klaus Kampert has developed a style whose aim seems to be to capture the very essence of our humanity. “My photography approaches the nudity of bodies as a way to get closer to the spirit and emotions of the human being, through body language. The body is the envelope of the soul: it is both the shelter and the interpreter, the ‘teller’.”
