About the Item

Screenprint by Antonio Saura "Aquella tarde al verse en el espejo.." from "Diversaurio", 1962 77,5 x 55,2 cm Copy 52 Edition of 85 Antonio Saura (Huesca, Spain 1930–1998 Cuenca) found his great theme in the human figure. Saura was a painter of the abyss, of turmoil and pain, but also a painter whose gestural-expressive power makes us hope for a breakthrough behind the pain. It is the connection with the great predecessors and occasional role models that makes Antonio Saura an outstanding painter of the twentieth century and one of the most original artists of the second half of the twentieth century.
