A striking, hand coloured lithograph, showing a piece of political satire based on the accession of William IV to the throne. When King George IV died on 26 June 1830 without surviving legitimate issue, William succeeded him as King William IV.The cartoon shows a member of parliament on one knee, worshipping the rising sun, in which can be seen the face of William IV. Below the image is an inscription with the title, publication details date and inscription. John Doyle has initialed in plat with his pen name "HB." Handsomely presented in a contemporary Hogarth style frame with wash-line mount On wove.

    Still Life is an original colored lithography artwork ivory-colored paper, realized by Italian artist Raffaello Piraino ( 1938). Hand-signed on the lower right in pencil. Numbered on the lower left in pencil, edition of III/XV prints. The state of preservation of the artwork is very good. The artwork represents still life composition with s callops and oysters in a well-balanced composition, with a pinkish background. The artist's efforts indicate the perfect applying of aesthetic features. "Raffaello Piraino he began teaching mosaic technique at the Art Institute of Monreale, He has to master painters like Pippo Rizzo and Eustachio Catalano, in Salzburg he attended a lithographic technique over and in 1963 he founded in Palermo the Art Gallery at the Borgo with adjoining intaglio printing and lithography. That activity lasts twenty years and it is for the artist an important vehicle for its artistic and cultural training. For Recos publisher of Thessaloniki illustrates the Iliad and the Odyssey and publishes numerous folders of etchings and lithographs accompanied by texts by Nello Ponente, Alfonso Gatto Leonardo Sciascia and Tono Zancanaro. In 1977, the opera Teatro Massimo of Palermo Institution calls him to design the sets and costumes of comic opera Les Mamelles de Tirésias of Poulanc. The success opens the doors to other theatrical achievements, film and television. He draws for the Teatro Biondo in Palermo the costumes for Life is a Dream by Pedro Calderon de la Barca.
