About the Item

THOMAS HART BENTON (1890- 1975) HYMN SINGER / THE MINSTREL (Portrait of Burl Ives) 1950 (Fath 74) Lithograph signed with full signature “Thomas H. Benton” A large image, 15 ¾ x 12 inches on a full sheet, 19 ¾ x 15 ¾ inches with deckle edges. Published by Twayne Publishers. Although Fath indicates an edition of 500, that may be incorrect. This print is in fact somewhat scarce. It appears on the market considerably less often than the prints published by Associated American Artists (AAA) that are typically editions of 250. In generally very good condition with a bit of tape stain along the top margin edge and a minute bit of light stain around the image. A HANDSOME PRINT!!
