STILL LIFE WITH PEAR is a rarely seen, hand drawn limited edition lithograph by the American surrealist artist Fanny Brennan, created using traditional hand lithography techniques printed on archival Arches paper, 100% acid-free. STILL LIFE WITH PEAR is an engaging miniature interior scene depicting a simple room where a white dish and yellow pear is positioned on a round wood table; a wood chair, with a white cloth draped on its arm is oddly situated overhead on the ceiling; a glimpse of greenery is visible through the open doorway to the left of this intriguing, surreal still life scene by the amazing artist, Fanny Brennan.

About the artist-
Fanny Myers Brennan (1921–July 22, 2001) was a French-American surrealist artist and painter.
Brennan was born in Paris, educated in the United States and Europe and enrolled in an art school in France in 1938. When World War II began, Brennan went to New York. In 1941 the Wakefield Bookshop gallery run by Betty Parsons included her in two shows. She also worked for Harper's Bazaar and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.In 1944, the Office of War Information hired her to work in Europe. Brennan's paintings are typically in miniature format and frequently combine domestic objects such as buttons with landscapes.

He studied at Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia and at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Nesbitt worked in abstraction until Robert Indiana suggested in the early 1960s that he explore realism in his paintings. As subjects for his work he favored studio interiors, articles of clothing, piles of shoes, his Rottweiler, the Neo-Classical facades of 19th century cast iron buildings, and Manhattan's bridges. He was also famous for his enormous paintings and prints of roses, lilies, irises, and other flowers. He served as the official artist for the NASA Apollo 9, and Apollo 13 space missions; in 1976 the United States Navy commissioned him to paint a mural in the administration building on Treasure Island spanning 26 feet x 251 feet, then the largest mural in the United States; and in 1980 the United States Postal Service honored Lowell Nesbitt by issuing four postage stamps depicting his paintings. In addition to medieval subjects, Arms made a series of prints of American cities. He used sewing needles and magnifying glasses to get a fine level of detail. An educator, Arms wrote the Handbook of Print Making and Print Makers (1934) and did numerous demonstrations and lectures.
