Original first printing of London by SAS, Scandinavian Airlines System. The first edition has a mint green panel along the bottom. The poster also features the SAS logo on the lower left in color, not black and white on later editions. In the upper right corner, there is a DC 6 prop plane; later editions have a jet. Archival linen backed in excellent condition, ready to frame. A. The artist's signature is in the lower right area with the words London and 58. The London by SAS, Scandinavian Airlines System, Otto Nielson poster is a vintage travel poster from the 1950s that promotes London by SAS Scandinavian Airlines System. The poster features a painting by Danish artist Otto Nielsen (1916-2000) of the Houses of Parliament, boats on the River Thames, and a propeller plane flying overhead. The poster also includes the SAS logo and text below the image. Nielsen created many posters for SAS from 1954 to 1976, showcasing his loose oil painting style. The poster is 39.5 in x 24.75 in (100.3 cm x 62.9 cm). SAS, or Scandinavian Airlines System, is the flag carrier of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
