About the Item

An exceptionally beautiful antique French wood carving, made in the 17th century. It depicts Madonna standing with open offering arms .The contemplative oval face, the finely carved hairdo and intricate arrangement of the pleats of her dress lend the figure depth and vividness, Hard wood with rests of polychromy.
