About the Item
Venus Bronze Sculpture Standing Figure Female with Arm Hand Torso Torse Nude
KOBE, pseudonym of Jacques Saelens, was a Belgian artist (Kortrijk, Belgium 1950 – Saint-Julien (Var), France 2014).
He combined the broad with sophistication. Two themes dominated his artworks: the female figures, in all its mystery and simplicity, not as those we know from fashion magazines and movies. His other favourite theme is the horse. Not only because it is a symbol of connection, companionship, and strength.
We also owe a lot to the horse. Its history runs parallel with that of man (in labour and in battle, in sporting entertainment, in defeats and victories).
Kobe developed his artistic vision by travelling around the world. Kobe has always been fascinated by the ancient cultures in Central America, South America, Africa and Asia. All his sculptures are therefore preceded by a long journey of passion, awareness, and study.
Kobe created his own style of sculptures that are instantly recognizable. Kobe was in constant search of beauty, simplicity, and purity. He did not inject his art with hidden meanings. His works of art brought feelings to life for the world to enjoy: love, happiness, friendship, and affection.
Since 1995, Kobe has lived and worked in Pietrasanta (Italy), the famous and historic international centre for marble and bronze artists, close to the bronze foundries and close to the Carrara marble quarries.

- Bufo Contemporary Bronze Sculpture Nude Boy Marble Stone Male FigureBy Wim van der KantLocated in Utrecht, NLBufo Contemporary Bronze Sculpture Nude Boy Marble Stone Male Figure Wim van der Kant (1949, Kampen) is a selftaught artist. Next to his busy profession as a teacher at a high school, he intensively practises his profession as a sculptor. Only when his work would measure up to his own standards, he decided to present it to the rest of the world. In 1995, he exhibited for the first time with Morren Galleries. Van der Kant desires to sculpt young people who still stand uninhibited and curiously in life. The reason he chooses to sculpt boys is, because he is one himself, this way the subject is closer to him. The anatomy of his figures testify of perfectionism. Van der Kant's subjects show similarities with the sculptures from the Greek and Roman antiquity...Category

He draws inspiration from natural forces, with his powerful masculine figures often bearing the surface texture of time enduring landscapes. Edwards uses this external inspiration to explore very internal themes of fortitude and self-discovery. Edwards’ sensitive hand as a sculptor incorporates classical ideas about the sculpting process. - Olympiad. A bronze sculpture of a resting ballet dancer figure by Benson LandesBy Benson LandesLocated in Shrewsbury, Shropshire'Olympiad' is a solid bronze figurative sculpture of a resting ballet dancer by Benson Landes. The figure is so refined and delicate, a perfectly judged sculpture. Benson's theme is predominately the wonderful world of ballet and dancers, although some are beautiful ladies in quiet repose and elegance. Such an obvious appreciation of the grace and elegance of the female form was, no doubt, heightened by a lifetime spent in the couture business, which Benson entered at the age of 14. Benson succeeded in selling some of his first pieces of sculpture, a collection of sporting trophies...Category
