Eagle (ex. "Palmira" estate of Sarkis Kaltakdjian) - Large Bronze Sculpture

About the Item

A large, powerfully affecting sculpture of an eagle perched and preparing to take off. I have included a photo of a soda can in one shot to give you an idea of the scale of this sculpture; casting anything this size costs a fortune these days. But this isn't just anything: the artist has wonderfully captured the power and tension of this beautiful bird. The base is also bronze, and is integrated with the rest of the sculpture. It is a very substantial piece, solid and heavy and weighing in at over 30 pounds of bronze! Let me know if you need more pictures; it was hard to find a proper space to photograph it. Proudly presented by Guy Lyman Fine Art, New Orleans, with our firm guarantee.

Meath in 1976, John Fitzgerald is now established as one of Irelands leading Equine, Sporting and Portrait Artists. Originally John studied Industrial Design in Letterkennny RTC & at the University of Wales, Swansea.
