Biagio Romeo Sculpture Resine Mesozoic Era, Signed, 1995
By Romeo
Located in Milano, IT
Beautiful bronze and wood sculpture designed in 1995, fine Italian manufacture. Signed. The base is made of lacquered black wood. This form serves as a pedestal for the actual sculpture. The main body is a sculpture representing the Mesozoic era, in fact we see the sculpture of a kind of animal reminiscent of a fish or a marine mollusc, with scales and fins very different from those of today. Clearly the Mesozoic era harks back to a time when animals were evolving and have continued to evolve subsequently. The sculpture is very beautiful and suitable for decorating classy areas. Organic Modern Cast Bronze Bowl Sculpture with Fish Design by John Forsythe
Located in Topeka, KS
Fabulous organic modern bronze fishbowl sculpture by John Forsythe comprised of cast bronze with golden bronze and green patination. Gorgeous vintage condition with no outstanding flaws that we have found. Please see photos. Circa 1993. No human being, however great, or powerful, was ever so free as a fish – John Ruskin, Picture Quotes. Just look at this magnificent cast bronze bowl sculpture with fish design created by John Forsythe. A decorative bowl comprised of a cast bronze water whirlpool with swimming fish caught in the spinning currents, their half bodies and patinated green tails distending from the swirling water and a fish tail protruding from the exterior base of the bowl. You feel the struggle of trying to stay above water and complete your journey. Surrounded by a cast bronze rim trimmed with shiny green bubbles or fish eggs as to represent salmon and their spawning. Salmon lay an enormous number of eggs because they face a lot of adversity on their journey to becoming an adult, and while we aren’t sure these fish are in fact salmon, it certainly speaks to the realities of the course of life. Overcoming hardships and struggles and new beginnings. This sculpture is unique and one of only fifty created by John Forsythe, so it is sure to be a sought-after piece for collectors. In the style of organic modern or fantasy, this piece would be gorgeous displayed on your dining table, display cabinet or buffet in the family room, or on the coffee table in the living room. John Forsythe knew at an early age that he wanted to be an artist. He graduated from Emporia State University in 1976 with his BFA and started working with metals. He was employed as manager of Oxbow Foundry and befriended Eldon Tefft, Founder of the International Sculptor Guild and Chair of the University of Kansas Art...
