About the Item
Preowned, vintage Bonnie Cashin for D. Klein New York large umbrella, likely made in the 70s. Made from black nylon fabric with a knotted gold rope motif, it features an ornate carved black handle, a wooden shaft and a brass dog-leash cinch strap!
Incredibly chic, well-sized and extraordinarily rare! It measures approximately 35in end to end (folded) and approximately 48in wide when fully opened.
Bonnie Cashin was known for her innovative choice of materials and practical, yet stylish, designs. Over the course of her career, she worked with several fashion houses including Hermes, Coach Leatherware and D.Klein, just to name a few!
Preowned/vintage with some signs of age, use and prior wear: some marks to the shaft and handle, most hard to see unless closely inspecting. The umbrella works perfectly.
