Extremely rare Islamic ottoman silk and metal-thread external curtain cover for The Holy Kaaba, Turkey, circa 19th century.
With the Tughra of Sultan ‘Abd al-Aziz
The green and red silk ground embroidered with silver and gilt-metal threads, with Arabic calligraphic vereses from the Holy Quran, cartouches and roundels with inscriptions.
Translations as follows:
“Allah! There is no god but He – the Living, The Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him Nor Sleep. His are all things In the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede In His presence except As he permitteth? He knoweth What (appeareth to His creatures As) Before or After or Behind them. Nor shall they encompass Aught of his knowledge Except as He willeth. His throne doth extend Over the heavens And on earth, and He feeleth No fatigue in guarding And preserving them, For He is the Most High. The Supreme (in glory).”
The Throne Verse (Arabic: ???? ??????????, ?ayat al-kursi) is the 255th verse of the 2nd surah of the Quran, Al-Baqarah (Q2:255).
The verse speaks about how nothing and nobody is regarded to be comparable to Allah.
There is no God but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.

Those are two names, they are both from the rightly guided Caliphs.. Abou Bakr was the first and Omar second and Othman Ibn Affan was the third and of course Ali ebn ABi Talb was the last one.
Ash-Shura Verse 25: He is the One that accepts repentance from His Servants and forgives sins: and He knows all that ye do.
This honorable curtain was intended for use of the door of repentance the curtain that’s on the holy Kaaba’s door.
