Born in Mechelen on December 1, 1904 and died on November 30, 1995 in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, is a Belgian sculptor. Self-taught animal sculptor, he is considered a sculptor of "movement and feelings". His works can be found in several Belgian museums: in Elsene (Bear playing), in Saint-Gilles (Grumpy sitting tiger), in Mechelen (Ostrich of the Somali islands), in Liège (15-day-old foal licking), in the Tervuren park (Sleeping hinds).
