French 19th Century Patinated Bronze Statue, after Charles Gabriel Lemire
About the Item
A charming and very elegant French mid 19th Century patinated bronze statue of a cherub, after Charles Gabriel Lemire. The statue is raised by a rectangular Rouge Griotte marble base with a concave top mottled border. Above is a sweet winged cherub, sitting on a rock, one hand on his bow and the other holding the string, attempting to put it on the bow. Wonderful and all original patina throughout.
