Rare Blue Lace Agate Cathedral with Bold Blue and White Agate Laces and Calcite
About the Item
An Agate Geode that is unlike any we have ever encountered. While agate geodes are not rare, this particular specimen stands out as superior. Its bold, distinctively large agate bands encircle the entire piece, creating a zonation indicative of unique conditions present during the geode's formation. With its unique beauty, this geode will not only enhance any space as a natural form of art but also serve as a harmonizing centerpiece that sparks conversation.
The agate bands in this specimen were formed through a slow and continuous process. Over millions of years, each layer materialized as silica, laden with natural impurities, flooded the geode and then dried, creating delicate layers each followed by another. The bands exhibit bold, rarely seen colors: initially, a teal agate, succeeded by layers of White Agate, and in the final stage of growth, sky-blue bands formed around a large calcite inclusion, culminating in this natural artwork.
Another rare feature seen in this geode is the minimum natural fractures it brings, indicating an exceptional degree of geological stability throughout its formation.
This is the definitive agate geode to add to a collection, and it comes with the peace of mind of being ethically sourced from our hometown, Ametista do Sul, Brazil. Please check the pictures and the video and feel free to message us in case you have any questions or particular requests.

E2D Crystals
E2D stands for Edivan, Elizandro, and Denny, the 3 Toazza brothers who compose this Family Owned Business and all share a passion for the finest Crystals. As a family, we were lucky to be born and live in Ametista do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil: 'The World's Amethyst Capital'. Our story begins in the 1970s, when our father had a small-scale industry of Amethyst, Agate, and Citrine, originating our passion for Crystals and Minerals. After years in the void, but always being surrounded by these fantastic crystals, we decided that it was time to bring our dreams to reality, and in 2020 we started E2D with a Mission: Every item we sell is Ethically Sourced from small miners and lapidaries, leading the path for the development of the whole supply chain, especially for the ones who need more, the miners.
