About the Item
An exceptional, unusual, fine and impressive pair of antique Victorian English sterling silver acorn peppers; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection.
These exceptional antique Victorian English cast sterling silver peppers are realistically modelled in the form of acorns.
The hallmarked screw fit plain rounded nut/cover of these silver peppers incorporate an array of pierced 'pepper' holes to the upper portion.
Each lower portion of these unusual antique peppers replicates the cupule section of an acorn supported with three scrolling leaves, in addition to the stalk extending outward.
The base is ornamented with exceptional cast decoration reproducing the veins of the leaves and scales to the cupola.
Condition
These antique peppers are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Full hallmarks to the surface of each piece are very clear in keeping with age and location.
