Large Mexican Silver and Serpentine Stone Vintage Necklace

About the Item

Beautiful large Mexican silver necklace with round polished serpentine speckled stone beads. The central element is a round delicately hand-carved silver piece depicting two large birds standing on a richly leafed tree, besides the stone beads it has two silver round beads and a pretty silver brooch. It is unsigned but was made probably in Taxco, State of Guerrero, Mexico. Taxco is a silversmith´s town with an incredibly rich tradition in gold and silver jewelry. The town has attracted in the past creative people from all-over the world that contributed to the existing richly creative and skilled local artisans, and has given this town a world reputation in high quality jewelry and metal work.
