Marble is a natural material, every piece is unique as each marble block is different in veins and color shades. All of our creations are handmade by Italian artisans and can slightly vary in shape and size. This is to be considered as a guarantee of a handmade object.
All Pieruga objects are made of precious and natural marbles and onyx. Marble is sensitive to acid-based liquids, especially a prolonged contact with substances such as wine, lemon, vinegar, fruit juices, cola and alcohol can stain the surface.
Cleaning should be carried out with a soft sponge, water and neutral detergent. Do not use metallic or abrasive sponges, do not wash in the dishwasher, do not use in the microwave. The color of the marble after washing can undergo variations due to the humidity trapped in the surface’s micro-pores. Once fully dried it will regain its original color. The brass inlays tend to oxidize over time, to make them return to shine again use a soft cotton pad soaked in a solution of water and traditional Marseille soap, gently rub over the brass inserts and rinse the surface thoroughly. We are against the use of chemical products, all Pieruga objects are processed and polished through long manual processes without the use of polishing liquids.
Pieruga proudly creates elegant accessories and complements in marble through artisanal processes, bringing into dialogue ancient techniques of sculpture with advanced technologies. 100% handmade in Italy.
Our mission is a clear signal of opposition to the enormous waste that occurs in the extraction and processing of large blocks of marble, tons of material are discarded and thrown, in disfigurement to the generosity of our mountains.
Rediscovering the ancient art of manual sculpture we give new life to even the smallest fragment of marble, bringing to light its millenary beauty that is lost in more than 2000 years of architecture and sculpture.

- Six Wedgwood Majolica Argenta 'Lincoln' Pattern Dessert DishesBy WedgwoodLocated in Fort Lauderdale, FLSix Wedgwood majolica Argenta palette ‘Lincoln' pattern dessert plates with finely molded maroon prunus blossoms and dark taupe pine branches surrounded by a yellow Greek key border. The dishes are decorated in the japonisme style and feature the “Three Friends of Winter” motif, an Asian artistic convention showing the pine, plum, and bamboo together to represent steadfastness, perseverance, and resilience. The Wedgwood factory introduced muted Argenta glazes to its majolicas in the 1880s to keep up with ever-changing fashions. The Argenta glaze color palette was more subdued than that of traditionally vibrant majolica, and was thus more appealing to the Aesthetic Movement japonisme style that pervaded the market.
