About the Item
A stylish, timeless winecooler in silverplate. Marked and numbered, a limited edition of 2000 made. This is numbered 427. Stylistic flowershaped handles. A modern, functional classic, when not used for wine - perfect for flowers or just as a decorative pieces in its self. Can be polished, a nice patina due to age. Smaller signs of wear.
About the designer: Sigvard Oscar Fredrik, Prince Bernadotte / Count of Wisborg (7 June 1907 – 4 February 2002) born as, and until 1934 known as, Prince Sigvard of Sweden, Duke of Uppland, was a member of the Swedish Royal Family and a successful industrial designer by profession.
He was a Prince of Sweden from birth, but was excluded from the line of succession in 1934 when he married a woman of unequal rank. He lost his princely and ducal titles as decided by the King in Council.
He was an excellent industrial designer, Bernadotte was known for designing everything from luxurious silver objects for Georg Jensen to everyday-use household items in plastic.

Sigvard Bernadotte
Sigvard Bernadotte was a Swedish prince and industrial designer. He was the second son of King Gustav VI Adolf of Sweden and his first wife, Princess Margaret of Connaught, a granddaughter of Britain's Queen Victoria. Bernadotte was born a Swedish prince and was originally titled Duke of Uppland, but was excluded from the line of succession and lost his Swedish titles in 1934 when he married a commoner.
