A charming vintage oil on fiber board painting of a young child with a blue and white cup and a piece of bread (?). Painted in shades of warm brown, pinks, maroons and whites. Surface abrasions and scratches are evident from rough handling. The board is stable and the paint is not flaking. There is some craquelure in the upper left and lower right quadrants but it is not loose. Framed in an old Victorian frame which has some losses due to age but is stable and gives the painting character. Overall just a fun and unique piece. Painting is unsigned. Unsure of country of origin. Additional detail photos available upon request. From the collection of a Boulder, Colorado interior designer who collected many antique pieces from France. Surface scratches and abrasions from rough handling at some point in time. There is some craquelure in the upper left and lower right quadrants but it is not loose.
