Hand Carved Basaltic Stone Pendant Lamp
About the Item
The light radiating from the hand carved basalt stone reminds us the fire of their volcanic source.
From the veins of Jalisco, basaltic stone is extracted from San Lucas Evangelista, raw material for the creation of the best molcajetes and metates of Mexico, the first craft. Proudly, the artisans ensure that their ancestors left footprints to lead them to the mines. They free the stone with pick and shovel or dynamiting it to take it to their workshop.
Preserving their tradition with the legacy of knowledge parents leave to their children honoring their ancestors. They evolve by working on a technique that nowadays gives them fame, sculpting a variety of engraved pieces of talented designers.
Care:
Basaltic stone is a very fragile material, do not hit or drop. Use a clean dry clothe. Basaltic stone will darken naturaly over time. Use low voltage lightbulb.
