Italian Art Deco Alabaster and Brass Chandelier circa 1940 Ten Lights

About the Item

Italian Alabaster and Brass chandelier dating from around 1940 with ten lights, antique art Deco Italian chandelier with circular frame, a beautiful brass casting, eight lights on curved arms and eight shaped dome-shaped uprights, decorated for reasons plant and grape clusters, holding a large white alabaster bowl in warm tones, enclosed within a frame with zoomorphic motifs and relief beading. In the upper part, the hook also consists of two cast brass figures. Two additional lights can be illuminated inside the cup with dual ignition. It works with ten E27 bulbs and is wired for a maximum power output of 1500 watts. The chandelier comes from a private villa in Milan, was completely disassembled, the brass frame was cleaned of oxidation, polished and treated with paint that preserve the metal from future oxidation. It has been wired from scratch to light the eight arm lights separately on their own or together with the two lights inside the alabaster bowl to create warm lighting, creating a 'cozy atmosphere. It comes with a beautiful brass ceiling cup. In the last image listed, you can see the chandelier still oxidized, before restoration. Perfect for furnishing retro-inspired living rooms, dining rooms or foyers. A rare chandelier for lovers of elegant and refined design.
